Fellow Band Parents,
The John Jay Mustang Band Boosters will be having a pasta dinner and a show on Monday, April the 6th from 5:00 – 7:00PM in the John Jay Cafeteria/Auditorium. This is in conjunction with the band’s annual Pre-UIL performance the week of UIL Concert and Sightreading. The concert will begin at 7:30PM. Tickets will be issued the week after spring break. All students are being asked to sell a minimum of 5 tickets at a cost of $7.00 each. Ticket money is due on Wednesday, April the 1st.
We are requesting the following donations from the following bands (donations [except desserts] must be received by Friday, March 27th) :
Concert Band (Freshmen) - 2 boxes of Barilla Penne each student. We cannot mix different brands of pasta, so please make sure to purchase the kind pictured below:
Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble –
- Percussion/low brass/low woodwinds/French Horns: Plastic Utensils (all kinds, but especially forks)
- Trumpets: Napkins
- Upper Woodwinds: Desserts
Thank you so much for your continued support of the Mustang Band! Full cooperation is needed in order to make this a success. All of the profit goes back to our kids in one form or another.

Join us this Thursday 2/19 from 4-closing for our next fundraiser night at Willies Grill on 151 at Ingram. Those of you that have been out there know they are already big supporters of John Jay so lets make this a really successful night and have a large turnout to support our band.
Please join us for our next John Jay Band Booster Parents Meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 7PM in the LGI Room (Agenda link below). This is an important meeting as we will be presenting the Mid-Year Budget Plan for review and some proposed changes to the executive board.
